Four single owner collections to be auctioned simultaneously

Four single owner collections featuring modern design, jewellery, objets d’art and oceanic arts will be auctioned simultaneously by Leonard Joel’s Sydney office from 11am Sunday December 4 at 39 Queen Street, Woollahra.

One of the single owners is Michael Galloway – whose collection features intriguing and eclectic 20th century British, South African and Australian fine art, sculpture and decorative arts.

Belgiorno Nettis is auctioning the contents of his Clontarf, New South Wales home, including modern design, objets d’art and oceanic arts.

Auction goers intrigued by antique jewellery

A diamond bracelet comprising 10 panels, each with a baguette diamond set scroll and a pear-shape and marquise diamond, is one of the more valuable items (catalogue estimate $60,000-$70,000) at Mossgreen’s forthcoming Fine Jewels & Watches auction from 2pm Sunday December 4 at 36-40 Queen Street, Woollahra in Sydney. 

The auction is notable for several interesting pieces including a South Sea pearl necklace (estimate $25,000-$30,000) featuring 128 baroque pearls that can be worn as a double opera length strand or as shorter necklaces and bracelets.
