Leski's timed online auctions give collectors excellent purchase power

Like several other Australian auction houses, Melbourne-based Leski Auctions has moved several of its sales to timed online auctions to help overcome government initiated lockdown restrictions implemented because of the current coronavirus pandemic.

At present, two are in this category – one a Stamps & Postal History sale that opened at 10am on. Wednesday April 22 and is due to finish from 10am on Monday May 4 – and the other a toy auction that will finish from 12pm on the same day.

Stockroom timed online auction throws up all sorts of goodies

Gibson’s Auctions is continuing its dalliance with timed online auctions in Melbourne with a stockroom sale which will start closing from 10.30am Thursday April 30 at 885-889 High Street, Armadale.

Viewing is only online and where multiple bids occur within five minutes of the time any particular lot is due to close, its closing time will be extended by a further five minutes.

The stockroom auction contains a wide variety of items including furniture, art, clothing, bags, shoes, and various collectables.

Melbourne-based Christian McCann Auctions is hoping to attract plenty of attention to its second online auction for the year with a magnificent collection of quality French and English antique furniture, beautiful clocks and collectable Australian and European art among the 230 lots.

The auction, from 6pm Tuesday April 28, will be held at 7 Harper Street, Abbotsford and, with coronavirus pandemic restrictions still in place, viewing is only online, with collection of goods after the sale by appointment.

Alfred Gregory's photographs in Melbourne online auction

Gibson’s Auctions love affair with English-born climber, explorer and photographer Alfred Gregory (1913-2010) continues with a timed online auction that ends in incremental stages from 10.30am Thursday April 23.

This latest effort, with 127 photographic lots on offer, follows an earlier Gregory sale by the Melbourne-based auction house, located at 885-889 High Street, Armadale, in August last year.
