Like several other Australian auction houses, Melbourne-based Leski Auctions has moved several of its sales to timed online auctions to help overcome government initiated lockdown restrictions implemented because of the current coronavirus pandemic.

At present, two are in this category – one a Stamps & Postal History sale that opened at 10am on. Wednesday April 22 and is due to finish from 10am on Monday May 4 – and the other a toy auction that will finish from 12pm on the same day.

Gibson’s Auctions is continuing its dalliance with timed online auctions in Melbourne with a stockroom sale which will start closing from 10.30am Thursday April 30 at 885-889 High Street, Armadale.

Viewing is only online and where multiple bids occur within five minutes of the time any particular lot is due to close, its closing time will be extended by a further five minutes.

This, despite the new premises being set up with a second gallery specifically purposed for displaying art and jewellery at each forthcoming auction.
