Signed and framed Australian Rules football jumpers by Essendon champions Matthew Lloyd and James Hird are among a comprehensive range of sporting memorabilia being offered at a Leonard Joel online auction which finishes at 10am on Thursday August 16.

Other football items include framed photographs of Collingwood’s 1990 premiership team and Carlton’s ‘The Silvagni Dynasty’ featuring the number 1 guernsey worn by 20th century father and son champions Serge and Stephen.

The auction highlight is a framed Sykes bat engraved with Australian cricketing icon Sir Donald Bradman’s records and framed photograph of him in action.

A framed display of former Australian Test captain and later cricket commentator Richie Benaud is another attraction for collectors – along with signed photographs of Australian fast bowling champion Dennis Lillee and West Indian great Sir Garfield Sobers.

The auction also contains a selection of horse racing jockey silks and several framed displays featuring champion jockey Greg Childs and the Flemington lawn on Melbourne Cup Day 1889.
