A comprehensive range of antique instruments – many belonging to the one collector – should bring auction goers running to Young’s Auctions latest weekly sale from 9.30am at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

The instruments include an antique brass theodolite and English octant from the 1890s.

There also is an expanding brass telescope, microscope, bellows camera and binoculars.

Other interesting items include a Constellation globe, model of a DC3 aircraft and a desk tidy with slots for fountain pens and a pipe.

Auction goers should also be interested in the antique clocks, an unusual magic lantern and an antique Saratoga trunk.

Buyers looking for new modern furniture will not be able to go past the range on offer from a shop that has closed.
