Assumption College Kilmore gives up its treasures

Assumption College Kilmore has this year begun a new era with the opening of a purpose built state of the art boarding facility.

Gone are the traditional dormitories – replaced by three houses accommodating a total of 76 students.

Senior students now have their own rooms while juniors share two or four to a room.

Staff are accommodated in the house they supervise and large recreation and common areas, along with landscaped outdoors, are an important feature.

As a result of the new facility, auctioneer Steve Graham has been asked to auction furniture and fittings from the old boarding facility – including commercial kitchen equipment, beds, chests, wardrobes and chairs.

The auction starts at 11am Wednesday December 10 on site at Assumption College, Sutherland Street, Kilmore.

Fittings include such items as a Waldorf cooktop, Blodgett double oven, Waldorf deep fryers and Combi steamer, and a Wexiodisk conveyor dishwasher.

Many of these fittings will suit catering companies, restaurants and others in the hospitality industry.

Other items include washing machines, dryers, fridges, electric ovens, doors, roller screens, tree ferns, gym equipment, table tennis table, lockers, notice boards and bench seats.
