Clifford Possum paintings auction for Aboriginal art lovers

Two Clifford Possum paintings entitled Man’s Dreaming and Lizard Dreaming should attract Aboriginal art lovers to E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly sale from 9.30am at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

The artworks, each with catalogue estimates of $3000-$5000, are among a selection of paintings and graphics in the auction bound to interest auction goers.

There is a range of collectables and items of interest including Lladro, crystal and ruby glass, and Dresden porcelain.

The auction features several estates and private consignments throughout Melbourne including South Yarra, Glen Iris, Balwyn North, Kew and Hawthorn.

Among the good range of Victorian, Edwardian and 1920s occasional and lounge room furniture is an interesting three-door wardrobe with ornate carved decorations.

Another auction feature is the impressive leadlight window along with decorative mirrors and Persian rugs.
