Modern quality reproduction and antique furniture should attract a wide range of buyers to Young’s weekly auction from 9.30am Friday at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

Highlights of the Victorian furniture include a secretaire bookcase, cedar chest, chaise longue, dressing table and gents chairs.

Among the reproduction furniture is a French provincial dining setting, Italian walnut display cabinet and new and as new lounge suites.

The auction also contains sporting memorabilia, English porcelain vases and tea ware, silver plate, oil lamps, and paintings, prints and maps.

Of particular note is a silver soup tureen, model of an Avro biplane (one of the first used when Qantas was established) cloisonné vases, ivory elephants, Lladro porcelain figures and modern and antique jewellery.
