An ornately carved Breton sideboard, French tables and armoires are among an extensive range of furniture at E.J.Ainger’s last auction for the year from 9.30am Tuesday December 20 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

Other furniture to feature includes four door sideboards, occasional items and bedside cabinets alongside Australian cedar and English mahogany pieces  - in particular a large reproduction leather top partner’s desk and a walnut cased upright piano.

The auction contains Moran furniture and a luxurious Italian leather settee, chair and ottoman and an Italian upholstered L-shaped lounge.

From the same St Kilda Road apartment are two heavy steel tables/desks and a modern entertainment unit.

Other auction features include cast iron urns, benches, occasional tables and planter pairs – along with gilt mirrors and French chandeliers.

Art lovers also should be interested in a range of overseas oil paintings, watercolours and graphics – while for collectors there are many desirable collectables among the porcelain, sterling silver, silver plate, coloured glass, crystal, brass and copper, clocks and miniatures on offer.

Other items include sporting memorabilia and Persian and other carpets.

E.J. Ainger will be closed from Friday December 23 and reopens Friday January 27.

The first auction for 2017 will be Tuesday February 7.
