For those auction goers unable to make the Mossgreen jewellery auction on Monday November 27, Leonard Joel is holding its own jewellery sale from 6.30pm the same day at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.

The most expensive Leonard Joel auction items include a rare loose pink rubellite (lot 264 – estimate $150,000-$170,000), an impressive multi-strand emerald and diamond necklace (lot 114 - $100,000-$150,000), a three-stone diamond ring (lot 142 - $100,000-$140,000) and a solitaire diamond ring (lot 98 – $60,000-$80,000).

The auction also contains a great range of Christmas gift ideas from a solitaire diamond ring (lot 2) to a pair of diamond stud earrings (lot 3) and an Australian opal and diamond cluster ring (lot 7).

Of particular note is a pink sapphire and diamond ring by Nicholas Pike (lot 5) and a matinee length strand of Tahitian pearls (lot 12).

Unusual is a pair of gold Rolls Royce cufflinks (lot 10) and a ruby and diamond ring (lot 11).

Other items include a vintage Omega bracelet wristwatch (lot 19) and a colourful ruby and diamond ring (lot 22).

An antique gem set brooch (lot 27) is worth a closer look – along with an unusual antique Australian gold brooch by Lamborn and Wagner (lot 36) and an orange sapphire and diamond cluster ring (lot 100).
